Myths Busted on How to Find High Ticket Clients on LinkedIn
Apr 28, 2023If you want to get visible on LinkedIn, get out there, make the connections, meet clients, then what's stopping you?
Are you doing too much? Or too little?
Here's the thing:
You don't need a funnel to find or sign high ticket clients on LinkedIn.
There is no magic number of people that you need to reach out to in order to make bank.
The idea that you need to spend hours here on LinkedIn in order to find clients, is crazy! Once you have your profile up to scratch and your content strategy ready then 20 to 30 minutes a day is enough! And honestly sometimes less!
It doesn't have to be a "numbers game." I mean how many clients do you need to have a "six figure business?"
20 x 5K ? So that means over time you need to sell 5K packages. What's your time worth? Is a VIP Day 5K? Do you have a three month program that's 5K, do you have a six month program that's 5K? And how do you bill it? Over 6 months, over 12 months?
So let's say it's 20 x 5K. That means that you need to:
- Be confident of your ability.
- Have the solution to a problem that your ideal client is willing to pay for.
- Be able to communicate clearly that you are the solution.
So do you need to contact 1,000 people at a surface level if your strategy is 20 people at 5K? NO!
It's a complete waste of time. In my opinion if you have the solution to a problem that is large enough that your client is willing to spend upwards of 5K to fix, then you should spend time getting to know them on a deeper level, and letting them get to know you on a deeper level.
And generally the thing that's getting in your way, particularly if you're in your 40s and you've left a corporate career behind to start a new venture and work as a coach where you can use your life experience to coach your clients to achieve this transformation is ...
YOU
It's either your self belief, your self image, or your willingness to get out of your comfort zone and learn a skill that you don't enjoy, such as marketing yourself.
AND
Making excuses saying that social media is too hard, too time consuming, instead of doing what you did with your coaching qualification... learning, watching, observing, practising.
Sound familiar?
You don't have to spend months learning how to "do LinkedIn."
But it's where lots of professional people who have money to invest in their personal and professional selves hang out.
So stop getting in your own way.
And also while I'm at it, yes you can post the exact same content as you post everywhere else. I mean look at Rob Mayhew a prime example of someone who has excellent content, a great following, a really engaged audience, and posts using his content from Tiktok.
That's what I love about LinkedIn. It's just as useful to share content that someone else has created with your perspective of why it's relevant for your clients as it is to create your own content.
Not to mention the fact that one of the best performing content genres on LinkedIn is a poll. You can whip it up from your phone, basically ask your followers exactly what they'd like to buy and then open the door for a commercial conversation. Now I know that's a bit basic and it takes more than that. But still it's a lot easier to use than so many other networks.
I love that, as LinkedIn has evolved, you don't need to show up as a different version of yourself.
You can be you. And act like a human in the world and find great connections here on LinkedIn that will help you to grow your business.
In my recent Masterclass on How to Sell on LinkedIn Without the Ick I shared that in order to find high ticket clients on LinkedIn you really need just three things:
- To be Intentional about how you show up and when
- To be helpful and generous with your content
- Network like you would in the real world
When you stop seeing a platform through dollar signs and see it as a place where you can share your perspective, interact with thought leaders that inspire you, network with like minded professionals then you sparkle.
When you focus on the being and the doing, the results will follow.
Of course provide information about what you're selling, but in a way that is clear for your clients that it will help them, rather than lining your pockets (even though we all enjoy and appreciate making money.)
Put thought and strategy into the heart of what you do, and then follow through with it.

But know this, in my experience you won't pay full attention to me without signing up to work with me. You won't get the kind of results that you deserve if you don't work with me consistently, each week.
If you want to grow your business then you need to make decisions about the direction you're taking it in and taking the actions required to get you there.
So let's talk, but only if you're serious about making a commitment to you and your business and giving it the shot that it deserves.
